Local Honey is Best
We go straight to the source for our wildflower honey and get it from one of our local Beekeepers here in Temecula, California. The reason you want the honey to be local to your area is because the bees pick up pollen and they carry it with them. Local honey has local pollen in it and so if consumed daily, a natural tolerance to common seasonal allergies is built up. There’s a bunch of great reasons to give your dogs local honey but for this recipe’s purpose, it is for the allergen tolerance benefits.
Raw Goat Milk is Naturally Awesome
Probiotic are naturally occurring in raw goat milk and so are some wonderful antihistamine properties. Both of these things are good for the immune system when it comes to dealing with a dog’s seasonal allergies. Raw goat’s milk also is a strong yeast fighter so if your dog is particularly yeasty and itchy, it helps. Just like with local honey, there’s a ton of benefits to raw goat’s milk aside from just helping fight allergies. It is great for digestion, soothing stomachs, it’s an anti-inflammatory.. etc. Hit a Google search on Benefits of Raw Goat’s Milk for Dogs. If you can get raw goat milk at a local farm that’s even better. The goats at your local farm are eating grass that has pollen and other plant particles blown on it. This help in the same way as the honey does with building a natural immunity.
