When your pup is suffering from a stomach issue it’s a good idea to put the puppy on a short fast. A fast will give the GI tract and stomach a chance to relax. Fast through a meal and give a lot of water during the fast. For the next couple of days you want to feed a bland diet to give the dog’s body a reset. This can be done for up to two days but we do not recommend feeding a bland diet for any longer. If the stomach issue persists then you should take your pup to see the Vet. This bland diet is commonly used when a dog gets into trash or eats too many weeds or a new food didn’t settle right.
The Bland Diet
1 cup of boiled lean ground turkey (strain)
1 cup of boiled quinoa or white rice (really boil it down to mush, use a lot of water)
1 tbsp of canned pure pumpkin (we use organic pure pumpkin)
*we do sometimes supplement with plain, flavor-free Pedialyte added to their water
